Boori Cots & Cot Beds

A Boori cot gives your baby a sturdy, familiar place to sleep from the newborn weeks through to the toddler years. Explore Boori cot beds designed to convert into a toddler bed as your little one grows, in styles to suit every nursery.

Why Choose a Boori Cot?

A Boori cot is designed to last well beyond the baby stage. Every Boori cot bed in our range has two base heights, a higher one for lifting a newborn in and out and a lower one for when your baby can pull themselves up, and most convert to a toddler bed for use to around 5 years. The frames are made from timber such as Australian Araucaria, New Zealand Radiata or European Beech, depending on the model. Most Boori cot beds take a 132 x 70cm mattress, so it's easy to find a cot mattress that fits snugly.

Use-Cases and Compatibility

Here's how the Boori cot range suits different nurseries and plans.

- For easier lifting in the early months

The Daintree and Casa have a safe track dropside, so you can lower one side to lift your baby in and out with less bending.

- For a cot that becomes a big bed

The Natty Cot Bed converts to a toddler bed with two guarded sides using its own parts, while the Eton Convertible Plus can later become a double bed and sofa with a Conversion Kit. When the time comes, our toddler beds carry on the Boori look.

- For a ready-to-go setup

Several Boori cots come as a package with a mattress, such as the Boori Nova Baby Cot + Mattress and the Boori Daintree Cot + Mattress.

- For smaller nurseries

Compare the assembled sizes before you buy. The Nova (136.6 x 74.9cm) and Turin (137 x 77cm) have a smaller footprint than the Eton or Sleigh Royale.

Looking After Your Boori Cot

A little regular care keeps your cot sturdy and looking its best. Always check the care instructions for your specific model.

Check the fittings - Check bolts and fittings every few weeks and tighten any that have loosened.

Wipe it down - Wipe the frame with a soft, damp cloth and dry it straight away. Avoid harsh cleaners on painted finishes.

Lower the base - Move the base to the lower position once your baby can pull themselves up.

Keep it clear - Keep the cot away from blinds, cords and straps, and keep toys and loose items out of the sleep space.

Store parts safely - Keep conversion parts, keys and instructions together for when you convert the cot.

What to Check Before You Buy:

- Mattress size

Most Boori cot beds need a 132 x 70cm mattress, and the Nova needs its own matching mattress. The mattress should fit snugly, with no more than a 20mm gap at the sides and ends.

- Room size

Measure your nursery and allow space around the cot to open drawers and move around easily.

- Dropside or fixed sides

A dropside (Daintree, Casa) can help if you'd like to reduce bending in the early months.

- Conversion parts

Check whether the toddler bed conversion needs a separately sold Toddler Guard Panel or Conversion Kit.
