- Setting up the nursery
The Harwell Cot Bed, Atlas Cot Bed and Franklin Cotbed are designed for use from birth to around 4 years. Pair them with the matching Harwell Dresser Changer, Franklin Dresser or Atlas Dresser Changer, and a cotbed-size mattress such as the Essential Spring Cotbed Mattress.
- Keeping baby close in the early months

Looking After Your Mamas & Papas Furniture and Toys
Regular care keeps your nursery furniture and toys in good condition. Always check the care instructions for your specific product.
Wipe furniture clean - Use a damp cloth for everyday marks on cotbeds and dressers, then dry the surface.
Wash toys as directed - Some playmat bases and tummy time toys are machine washable, while hanging toys are wipe clean only, so check the label first.
Check fittings and base heights - Make sure bolts and fittings are secure and the cot base is set to the right height for your baby's stage.
Know when to move on - Stop using the cot once your child can climb out, and move your baby out of the bassinet once they can sit, kneel or pull themselves up.

- Check the mattress size
Mamas & Papas cotbeds take a cotbed-size mattress, such as 140 x 70 x 10cm, which is larger than a standard cot mattress, so choose one that fits snugly with no gaps.
- Measure your nursery
Compare the cotbed and dresser dimensions with your space, leaving room for a nursing chair and easy access around the cot.
- Think about the stages ahead
Look at how long each product can be used, from a bedside bassinet in the early months to a cotbed that converts to a toddler bed.
