Little Dutch Advent Train Track
Little Dutch Advent Train Track

SAME-DAY DISPATCH ON ORDERS PLACED BEFORE 12 PM MON–FRI*
A chocolate advent calendar is finished by the 25th and forgotten by the 26th. The Little Dutch Advent Train Track works the other way around. Each of the 24 doors holds a piece of a wooden train set, and by Christmas morning your child has built the whole railway themselves.
It turns the countdown into something they do rather than something they eat, and the finished track carries on being played with right through the year. Next December, it goes back in the box and starts again.
Suitable from 2 years. Browse more toys and gifts, or the full Little Dutch range.

- A strong choice for any child who already loves trains
Why parents love the Advent Train Track
The daily ritual is the point. There is a reason to get out of bed in December, and it takes about three minutes rather than the whole morning. Parents tend to like that it produces a real toy at the end instead of a fortnight of sugar before breakfast.
The other thing worth knowing: because the pieces arrive one at a time, children build an attachment to the set that they would not get from unwrapping it all at once. By Christmas Eve they have worked for it.

FAQs
What age is it for?
From 2 years. Children who already play with trains get the most from it, but the daily reveal works for any toddler.
Can we use it again next year?
Yes. The pieces repack into the numbered compartments, so it works as an advent calendar every December and as a train set in between.
Is it compatible with other wooden train sets?
It is designed as a complete set in its own right. Compatibility with other brands varies, so we would not promise it fits a particular track you already own.
Do we need batteries?
No. It is a wooden push-along set with no electronics.
Is it worth it over a chocolate calendar?
It costs more, but you are buying a toy that lasts years rather than a fortnight of chocolate. Most families who switch do not go back.
